Exalco was awarded the most important prize by the Hellenic Business Association, the leading Greek institution in the field of entrepreneurship. For the 19th time, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored business excellence, its values and corporate success stories. Exalco was recognized for its exports and was awarded for its export activity and international presence.
The grand opening ceremony of the ACCI 2020 Awards took place at the Athens Concert Hall, in the presence of the President of the Greek Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, the Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Adonis Georgiades, political and self-governing actors, representatives.
Exalco was distinguished for the results of its exports as it exports 30% of all Greek exports. The President of Exalco, Mr. John Ast. Kantonias was called on stage and greeted the event. He expressed the values and philosophy of the company and emphasized the unity of employees during the crisis. He cordially thanked the Exalco’s executives and Board of Directors and mentioned their late Presidents, Antonis and Stelios Kantonia.
In an evening full of excitement and pride, the President of Exalco received the parchment and gold statuette of Cerdo Hermes, the relentless patron of traders, a god who embodies speed, agility and adaptability to the needs of the times. It is worth mentioning that this is the second time that Exalco has been awarded this distinction of "Export Activity and International Presence". The first prize went to Exalco 24 years ago, in 1996.
